Volume: 100 µg Purification: Immunogen affinity purified Form: liquid Purity: 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE Host: Rabbit Clonality: polyclonal Clone ID: Isotype: IgG Storage: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol pH 7.3 , -20? for 12 months (Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.) Background: This protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. This enzyme is a mitochondrial matrix NAD-dependent dehydrogenase which catalyzes the second step of the proline degradation pathway, converting pyrroline-5-carboxylate to glutamate. Deficiency of this enzyme is associated with type II hyperprolinemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by accumulation of delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate (P5C) and proline. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. Immunogen: aldehyde dehydrogenase 4 family, member A1 Synonyms: ALDH4, ALDH4A1, P5C dehydrogenase, P5CD, P5CDh, P5CDhL, P5CDhS Observed MW: 61 kDa Uniprot ID: P30038 Reactivity: Human, Mouse Tested Application: ELISA, WB, IHC Recommended dilution: WB: 1: 500 - 1: 2000; IHC: 1: 50 - 1: 200 Gene ID: 8659 Research Area: Metabolism
